![]() ![]() The part of the trip that I loved best was his traveling through Costa Rico a country that doesn’t even have a military. His travel companion, Alberto, was charming and so knew just what to say, even to the law. He had to handle them with care, talking his way out of getting killed. I say, “part” because some countries were dangerous due to the drug traffickers. I would have loved to have experience part of this trip with him. I would not have said this about him after reading “Walking the Nile,” but this travel account of his walking from the Yucatan in Mexico to Colombia was the best travel writing that I have ever come across. ![]() Quintessential Explorer and Travel Writer ![]()
